Killington 12-10-14 Great 1st day of skiing!

Killington- Here is the skinny on the day.
13 of wet powder with a lite ice crust on top. almost everything was open. I skied trees, cascade, double dipper. but never made it to superstar, lift was closed until 1:00 pm. I made about 12 run and was whooped! Fun day on my new skis. The rossi souls did a great job in the powder (black diamond & blue), crud and groomed trail. I had a hard time on the untracked double black diamonds though. I'm chalking it up to the crust and having new skis and I didn't have my ski legs yet.
Here what they don't tell you!
Arrived at 9:00am Wednesday and pickup my $42.00 NH residence ski pass!- 1 lift spinning, all detachable s were iced over and could not run.
2 power surges shut the lift down for 15 minutes each time. They finally got the dipper chair running at 11:00 and the superstar chair started at 1:00. I'm not sure if the gondola ever ran.
All ski area had the same problems from what I read. not jay
